Hotel Okus

Okus Hotel was located in a leafy part of the inner city, within walking distance of the castle. Additionally, shopping and restaurants were plentiful and easily found nearby. The hotel staff, conveniently for us, spoke excellent English and provided helpful and willing assistance. Our room was spacious, although not contemporary.

Nearly shopping street. Room size is bigger than my expectation. The staff is very nice.

Location was excellent for main sights. Breakfast was very good with traditional Japanese food and pastries too.

nice staff, early check in at 1pm. Great location close to lots of restaurants, cafes, bars, tram stop and the castle. Rooms were big for Japan.

The location was great. Hotel room was big and clean. There's a sofa with TV, great amenities. Just right in the shopping street, 15-18 minutes from Kumamoto station, which you can walk or take the tram (few mins differences).
